Robert Kayen addresses ASCE Seattle Geo-Institute and AEG, meets with Alumni

Robert Kayen presented the talk "Geology is the key: Understanding the Engineering Geology Aspects of Seismic Soil Liquefaction" for the ASCE Seattle Geo-Institute (G-I) and AEG on February 26, 2026. Some attendees noted that it was the highest attended dinner meeting for the local G-I so far in the 2025-2026 season. Professor Kayen also met with UC Berkeley Geoengineering alumni in attendance, including:
- Intisar Ahmed, MS 2021-2022
- Piradeepan Uthayakunar, MS 2021-2022
- Sabyasachi Mowar, MS 2018-2019
- Sean Philbrick, MS 2017-2018
Other alumni in attendance were Tom Doe, Joe Wartman, and Steve Kramer.
