The Industry Leadership Council, an invitation-only gathering of the Geosystems Program faculty, corporate partners and industry leaders, and representatives of major federal, state, and other agencies, met on November 14, 2025 at UC Berkeley for its annual meeting.

The morning agenda featured a comprehensive briefing on the Geosystems Program’s current status and forthcoming initiatives. Council participants examined progress across research and education, and discussed avenues for expanding university and industry collaborations. The dialogue highlighted emerging research opportunities and actionable feedback that will shape the Geosystems Program over the next year.

Following the discussion session, participants broke for lunch with graduate masters students, providing a forum for direct interaction between emerging scholars and senior industry leaders.

By fostering high‑level exchange amongst academia, industry, and agencies, the Industry Leadership Council continues to serve as a catalyst for applicable research and workforce development.
