Continuing Education

UC Berkeley Geosystems Faculty have always had very strong ties with the industry and have been involved in numerous collaborations and partnerships with companies in the geotechnical engineering field.   

An important industry activity of the Faculty has been the instruction of continuing education courses that expose participants to the State of the Art on selected topics. Such courses have been offered through various organizations such as ASCE and the Geological Engineering Foundation and over the years have focused on a variety of topics such as geological engineering, geotechnical earthquake engineering.

• Short course for Geotechnical infrastructure Sensing and Monitoring; Offered in January 2021, May 2021,  May 2022, and May 2023.
• Three module short course on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering; Offered in February, March and April 2024.
