Geosystems PhD candidate Mirna Kassem received the 2024 Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor (OSGI) Award for her exemplary work as a teaching assistant for the Groundwater and Seepage course (CE173) taught by Prof. Nicholas Sitar in the 2023 Fall semester.

This UC Berkeley campus award is highly competitive and is granted to students who exemplify pedagogical excellence and are recognized for their ability to encourage critical thinking, foster an inclusive learning environment, provide support and motivation to students, and demonstrate overall effectiveness in teaching.
