Current Masters students, Alp Balcay, Edward Vaccaro and Drew Gomberg led the establishment of a new student group, named "Civil Ventures" that aims to promote the next generation of Civil Engineering student startups at University of California, Berkeley.

The groups's mission is "to foster an environment where collaboration and creativity can collide, and assist students in becoming entrepreneurial leaders and innovative thinkers while at Berkeley -- and beyond"
